Swapnil Chaturvedi a.k.a Poop Guy, is Founder, CEO and Chief Toilet Cleaner at Samagra which uses ICT Technologies, Behavioral Sciences and Human Centered Design to make sanitation services accessible, affordable and awesome for the Poor.

Samagra is currently providing awesome sanitation services to over 150,000+ daily users across 100+ slums in Pune, India. Swapnil (BSEE, MSEE) is an Ashoka Fellow, Acumen Fellow and a divergent thinker with extensive experience in Management, Design and Innovation.

Prior to Samagra, Swapnil was designing advanced Telematics & Navigation Systems for next generation vehicles at Continental Automotive(USA). In 2011, Swapnil gave up his US Residency and moved back to India to start Samagra’s operations.

In order to gain first-hand experience, Swapnil has lived in slums of various cities in India. Swapnil aims to provide awesome sanitation and value added services (Finance & Health) services to 20 Million Urban Poor in the next 5 years by collaborating with several organizations across the developing world. Swapnil believes that answer to wicked problems lies in innovative use of Psychology, Technology and Design.
